The reason I started this blog was that I wasn’t finding other barbecue reviews that were providing me what I was looking for. They would simply leave a 3-7 sentence general description about the visit, but I always found myself wanting more detail than was being given, with not much consistency to be found.
As such, I developed my own barbecue review template that I use at every one of my visits and this blog is the end result. I am by no means what one could even remotely consider a barbecue expert by any stretch of the imagination, I’m just a guy who enjoys delicious meats that have been smoked with love and dedication. Admittedly, I lean towards Central Texas style as my preferred regionality of barbecue and do hold brisket as king when it comes down to if a place is “worth one’s salt” as it were.
No matter how the review turns out, I want to give thanks to every owner and their teams for doing what they do and for making the sacrifices needed to produce top-notch BBQ.
